Full-Time Research Intern, Fujitsu Research of America (FRA)
Location: Fujitsu Pittsburgh Office
Fujitsu Research of America (FRA) conducts fundamental research in cutting-edge areas including Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Human-Computer Interaction. FRA is seeking a research intern to work on Robotics and Computer Vision , with a focus on autonomous aerial and/or ground robots.
Required Qualifications
PhD Candidate specializing in Robotics and/or Computer Vision
Strong foundation in robot planning and/or controls
Expertise in 3D computer vision for autonomous robots (visual odometry/VIO, SLAM, 6-DoF localization and tracking)
Preferred Qualifications
Conference publications in ICRA/IROS/CVPR or similar venues
Hands-on experience with quadrotors and/or mobile ground robots, and familiarity with simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim, AirSim)
Experience with 3D scene representations and novel view synthesis (e.g., 3D Gaussian Splatting, NeRF/implicit representations) for mapping, localization, or simulation
Experience with robotics software stacks (ROS/ROS2), and/or onboard sensing (stereo/depth/LiDAR/IMU)
Experience with Vision Language Action (VLA) models and/or Reinforcement Learning
Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $31/hr. to $50/hr. USD.
