Kiri Engine

In the version 3.7 update of their app, Kiri Engine has introduced the ability to add mesh generation to new captures or to process 3DGS files.

Kiri Engine continues to be available natively on iOS and Android, and it also offers an app for the Vision Pro. It appears that they support exporting the mesh into a .obj file format.

As of now, Kiri Engine supports the exporting of meshes. Local edits to the mesh in browser are not supported. Interestingly, this was a collaboration with researcher, Chongjie Ye, whose name you might recognize from Instant-Angelo. Chongjie will be open sourcing the mesh method within a month and has been extremely helpful to me with some of the articles on this site! Here’s a video explaining the updates from Kiri Engine’s CEO, Jack Wang. The Kiri Engine team will be in SF later this month for GDC and GTC, so if you are attending, make sure to reach out.
