EDIT: The methods shown are NeRFs in conjunction with others.
NeRFs are getting bigger, way bigger. Today, Preimage.AI has opened up their platform to the public for beta.
With the introduction of NeRFs into Google Maps and in addition to Waymo's Block-NeRF, the demand for large scale NeRFs has rapidly been increasing.
This is extremely exciting for the people that have been sitting on massive photogrammetry datasets, curious to see how it would look in NeRF.
Given the intensive amount of VRAM required to generate a NeRF, just how much VRAM they have available is anyone's guess, but shockingly, they're able to support up to 5,000 images at a time!
In a video posted to their Twitter, they show a full reconstruction of the Swiss city, Zurich.
For those that would like to try out the platform, they are offering free credits if you comment on the post or shoot them a DM.
