PlayCanvas's Super Splat, the online editor and viewer for Gaussian Splatting has released V1.16.0, enabling some new features.
Holding down the majority of the additions in the new feature, "Rings". Rings allows users to be able to select the Splat extents, rather than the center. This allows for a bit more precise control and visualization when editing a capture. In order to activate the Ring mode, simply hit the "Mode" dropdown underneath the Camera section and update it from "Centers" to "Ring".
Over the weekend the tool was previewed and it has quickly arrived for people to try out.
Other updates include porting Super Splat to the newest version of the PlayCanvas engine, they've reduced redundant opacity checks, and it will now preserve the thumbnail once a capture has been edited.
SuperSplat continues to be available here and is 100% free. Additionally, their code is MIT Licensed and welcomes additional contributors.
