PlayCanvas' SuperSplat has received its first update of the year with the release of v0.13.0. As a reminder, SuperSplat is a web based Gaussian Splatting editor for people to edit their .ply files. Once you've cleaned up your capture, SuperSplat allows you to export it.
The update mainly features quality of life improvements. My favorite is it now asks if you want to leave the page before saving your changes. I do a lot of work from my laptop and often will accidentally swipe backwards on the trackpad.
Here is a full list of the updates:
Display a message when navigating away from page with unsaved changes
Handle meta/ctrl keys correctly
Add the option of specifying a remote-storage destination by URL param
Add a toolbar to the left of the application
Make the control panel collapsible
Place the keyboard shortcut info in a popup
Default to slightly larger splat debug display size and make it devicePixelRatio-independent.
PlayCanvas SuperSplat is still very much in beta, but is already a great tool to clean up your 3DGS files. It remains accessible through the web, here.
