Twitter user Kenji Asaba demonstrated 3D Gaussian Splatting running in Unreal Engine 5 over the weekend and announced that he is currently working on a plugin.

The video shows Unreal Engine running 3DGS at 40fps using a 3070 GPU. As you can see from the video, there is still some work to be done getting the colors to look right, but it's a pretty incredible development that someone has already gotten 3D Gaussian Splatting in Unreal Engine 5.
As a note, in an interview last year, Luma CEO Amit Jain said it only took two days to get NeRFs running in Unreal Engine, so it might be sooner than later that we see a 3D Gaussian Splatting Plugin in the Unreal Engine marketplace.
