Over the past year, the Babylon.js team has continued to integrate the radiance field method known as Gaussian Splatting, in addition to introducing new features and functionalities—such as the view-dependent effects of spherical harmonics.

Now, they are once again expanding their supported features to include Scaniverse’s recently released compressed .SPZ format.

Babylon.js is a JavaScript library and 3D engine for displaying real-time 3D graphics in a web browser via HTML5. The source code is available on GitHub and is distributed under the Apache License 2.0.

Several platforms, such as BitbyBit and Frame, leverage Babylon.js for their Gaussian Splatting work.

For more information about Babylon.js and to view its documentation, visit their official website. The code is also open source for anyone interested in exploring it further.
