Soon after Spotify's weekly New Music Friday dropped, came the second official NeRF release from Jake Oleson.
Jake had most recently released "Given Again" the first ever NeRF short film and has now ventured into the adjacent music industry. Given NeRFs photorealistic renders and complete autonomy over camera path, it's easy to see why they translate so well to storytelling and Oleson masterfully demonstrates it through Pour Your Heart Out.
The music video used Luma AI for 100% of the NeRF renderings and if it was filmed like Oleson's Given Again, was shot handheld! Wow!
Oleson does an amazing job showcasing individual moments in time, showing the ups and down of a relationship.
Oleson also uses artifacts to his creative advantage, using them for moments that might be a blur in time, such as at a bar drinking. As I mentioned in the previous review of Given Again, it is shocking the amount of detail that Oleson is able to recover in very low light environments and is a testament to the strength of NeRFs.
I expect to see a massive increase of NeRF based content as we move into the second half of this year and am further extremely excited to see what content we'll see from Oleson.
