NeRFs in XR

This Thursday, March 2nd, Jonathan Stephens, NeRFGuru and expert, gave a talk on NeRFs in XR. The talk featured examples from Everypoint, NeRF Pioneer, James Perlman, and "professional vacationer" Franc Lucent. The talk lasted roughly an hour and a half, with Stephens staying an extra hour to answer questions from the audience.

As part of his speech, Stephens gave an overview of the current space including platforms Instant NGP, Luma AI, Nerfstudio, and Volinga AI and how people have been utilizing NeRFs in XR. As Stephens notes several times, the rate of technology progression has been occurring so quickly that he had to revise the speech multiple times as new discoveries and methods were published.

After the talk, audience questions ranged from how many photos can be used to porting a NeRF into another platform such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or Blender.
