This morning, Bay Area based Luma AI announced a $20M Series A round led by Amplify Partners, with participation from Nvidia Ventures, and General Catalyst. Additional details of the round have not been disclosed at this time, but Luma AI now has a sizable war chest to go out and make their mission of democratized AI.

Amplify coming in as the lead investors represents a strategic move from Co-Founder Amit Jain. They are specialized in Machine Learning and AI companies, with a plethora of resources for the Luma team to draw on.

Given Amplify's investment in RunwayML, this potentially will provide some synergy between the two now portfolio companies. Could we see an integration between the two platforms coming up? I believe that it will be more than likely, especially as NeRFs emerge as a storytelling medium emerge.

This also serves as a great precedent and benchmark for the other NeRF companies that are fundraising currently.
