Luma has pushed out v0.41 of their Unreal Engine 5 plugin. There are several big features, but I am most excited that it is now listed directly on the Unreal Marketplace. They also have fixed several bugs in the build and significantly reduced build issues.

  • Now available on the Unreal Marketplace!

  • Improved build support.

  • Support for all UE5 versions incl. custom forks

  • Splat scaling - control the size of individual splats

  • Improved backgrounds, skies, & large scenes

The Luma Unreal Engine plugin is available on both Mac and Windows and supports V5.1-5.3 of Unreal Engine.

As always, Luma continues to have a few sample projects available through their documentation. Luma has also continued to make their plugin free to use. For people looking for a different solution, there are still UE5 plugins available from Volinga, Akiya, Vista Splat Pro, and XVerse. Each one comes with their own quirks, so make sure to do your diligence.
