Yesterday, Akiya Research Institute published a video showing off real-time rendering of a NeRF in Unreal Engine 5. Even more shockingly, the GPU that was used was a 3070 and it was able to still run at over 60fps.

Further, the video highlights a character inserted into the NeRF that demonstrates how video game studios and production companies will be able to easily manipulate the scene and utilize them for their projects. From viewing the screen recording, it appears this was able to be achieved with only 1.6GB of VRAM.

They stated that the plugin is currently in development, but this showcases how NeRF in Unreal Engine will be accessible for many people, not just those with access to large amounts of VRAM.
