Polycam Updates Gaussian Splatting Viewer

Polycam has released an update for its Gaussian Splatting viewer. There's not a ton of information behind what was updated, but I can confirm that they are now supporting spherical harmonics, part of which contributes to more photorealistic outputs.

Polycam has released an update for its Gaussian Splatting viewer. There’s not a ton of information behind what was updated, but I can confirm that they are now supporting spherical harmonics, part of which contributes to more photorealistic outputs.

Polycam most recently joined the radiance field party. It is not confirmed whether or not this applies to all captures or just new uploads going forward.

I have reached out to Polycam for the official changelog, but have not heard back. As I hear more information, this article will be updated.
