SHARE has announced the C10 Series, a line of three backpack LiDAR scanners that lists gaussian splatting among its deliverables.

The C10-16, C10-32 and C10-32 PRO share a 386.8 by 152.7 by 174.4 mm body, a 1 TB SSD, and roughly 180 minutes on two hot swappable 49.436 Wh batteries. The C10-16 runs a 16 channel LiDAR at 320,000 points per second to 120 meters, with two cameras and no panorama stitching. Both C10-32 models run 32 channels at 640,000 points per second to 300 meters, with four cameras and panorama stitching.

All three carry 1 inch mechanical shutter mapping cameras with 2.4 micron pixels and 16 megapixels effective, and SHARE3DCAM pairs an IMU, a full constellation multi band RTK antenna and its own SLAM to position them. Relative accuracy is quoted as better than 1 cm and absolute accuracy as better than 5 cm, with point cloud thickness within 5 mm.

SHARE3DCAM states that, based on its mapping imagery capabilities, C10 data can also be used to create Gaussian Splatting and mesh models, and that a single capture campaign provides complementary deliverables for documentation, presentation, modeling and digital archiving. The named use cases are historic building documentation, cultural and tourism site digitization, and complex building renovation.

SHARE3DCAM ships SHARE PointClouds Studio on Windows and SHARE Capture on Android and iOS, and supports PPK post processing where RTK reception is constrained. A survey crew running a single backpack pass over a historic quarter would come away with the point cloud, the panoramas and the imagery a splat would need. SHARE3DCAM has not published pricing
