Spanish based radiance field company, Volinga, has released an exciting update. You are now able to "unlock" your NVOL files for use commercially.

NVOLs are able to be created with both 3D Gaussian Splatting captures in addition to NeRFs.

Volinga allows people to upload unlimited captures to be previewed non commercially. As a note, people can only upload one capture at a time to train to prevent spamming. However, once they've been trained, you are able to export and unlimited amount of NVOL files to be used in Unreal Engine. These previews come with a watermark, but can be removed on a on demand basis.

🚀 Exciting News! You can activate your NVOLs now! Starting today, you can use your #NVOLs commercially without any limits by removing the watermark. Don't wait any longer and start activating your NVOLs! 💪✨

When you are ready to use a file commercially, there is a one time 50€ fee per capture, which removes the watermark and allows you to download the new NVOL.

If you have the need to use a large amount of captures commercially, Volinga offers a Enterprise agreement that does not charge a per use fee. In addition, their Enterprise offering comes with access to their desktop client to train locally, in addition to the Volinga Customer Success Team and Email Support.

Volinga is directly compatible with nerfstudio and uses nerfacto to train. Volinga was the first company to release an Unreal Engine pipeline earlier this year through their NVOL file and is compatible with virtual production solutions like Disguise and Pixotope.
