SOFTWARE · 3D GAUSSIAN SPLATTING
Lixel CyberColor (LCC) is XGRIDS’ 3D Gaussian Splatting software — it turns Lixel scanner and PortalCam captures into photorealistic, measurable 3D scenes, with an enhanced 3DGS pipeline, cloud processing, and SDKs and plugins for Unity, Unreal, Web and BIM.
THE LCC FAMILY
Lixel CyberColor is a family of desktop apps, a plugin and mobile companions — all built around the same 3D Gaussian Splatting core.
LCC Studio
The desktop reconstruction and rendering app — turns Lixel and PortalCam scans into 3DGS models and exports .lcc, .lcc2, .ply, .usd and 3D Tiles.
LCC Scene Editor
Edit, measure and present reconstructed scenes with navigation modes, flythrough paths, measurement and scene reports.
LCC Model Editor
Refine individual models with selectors, editing tools, measurement and color grading before delivery.
LCC Viewer
A lightweight viewer for exploring and sharing finished LCC scenes on desktop.
LCC for Revit
Brings 3DGS reality capture straight into Revit for reverse BIM and as-built modeling.
RECONSTRUCTION
LCC Studio handles everything from a single handheld scan to fused aerial-and-ground projects — and now plain 2D video.
Single Model
One scan in, one 3DGS model out — the fastest path from capture to result.
Map Fusion
Stitches multi-segment ground scans into one project via automatic overlap-area recognition.
Aerial-Ground Map Fusion
Fuses drone imagery with ground scans so large sites stay complete from rooftops to interiors.
Aerial Reconstruction
Builds 3DGS from drone photos alone — no ground scanner required.
2D Video Processing
NEW
Reconstructs a 3DGS scene straight from ordinary 2D video footage.
CAPABILITIES
Enhanced 3DGS
A proprietary pipeline that cuts model size by up to 90% while preserving photorealistic detail.
HD Enhancement
Recovers sharper textures and fine geometry for presentation-grade output.
AI object removal
Automatically strips cars, people and clutter to leave a clean reconstruction.
Infinite-scale rendering
City-scale scenes stream smoothly across desktop, web and mobile.
LiDAR integration
Fuses centimeter-accurate LiDAR geometry with the splat for measurable scenes.
LCC Cloud
Cloud processing and shareable web viewers, out of beta and production-ready.
SETTINGS
Dial in quality, portability and hardware fit before you reconstruct. The key controls in LCC Studio:
Reconstruction Settings
Quality and mode presets that balance detail, output size and processing time.
Exposure Compensation
BETA
Evens out lighting and color across images using PPISP for consistent scenes.
Video Memory Limit (VRAM)
Caps the GPU memory used during reconstruction so it fits your graphics card.
Portability (SH)
Toggle Spherical Harmonics: off for smaller, portable models; on for view-dependent lighting and reflections.
Low Memory Reconstruction
Runs on limited-VRAM GPUs by trading speed for lower memory use.
Maximum Gaussian Splats
Caps splat count to control detail versus file size and playback performance.
Advanced Tuning
Expert parameters for fine-grained control over the reconstruction pipeline.

MOBILE
Control the hardware and capture in the field, straight from your phone.
LixelGO
The mobile control app for Lixel scanners — start and monitor scans, check coverage and manage jobs on site.
LCC Scan
The mobile capture app in the LCC workflow, used to drive PortalCam and spatial captures for 3DGS.
SDKs & INTEGRATIONS
XGRIDS ships a free, open developer stack for embedding LCC Gaussian splats into games, apps, the web and BIM. Grab the SDKs from the XGRIDS developer portal.

MOBILE
Mobile viewing
LCC scenes stream on mobile, so field teams and clients can explore captures anywhere.
OPEN FORMAT
XGRIDS open-sourced its LCC2 file format to standardize 3DGS pipelines — format-agnostic LOD support is already landing in third-party tools like SuperSplat, StorySplat and Spatial Fields, so LCC output travels across the ecosystem.
FAQ
What is Lixel CyberColor (LCC)?
Lixel CyberColor (LCC) is XGRIDS’ 3D Gaussian Splatting software. It turns Lixel scanner and PortalCam captures into photorealistic, measurable 3D scenes, and spans a family of tools: LCC Studio, Scene Editor, Model Editor, Viewer and an LCC for Revit plugin.
What is the difference between LCC and LixelStudio?
LixelStudio produces survey-grade LAS point clouds for CAD, GIS and BIM. LCC produces photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splatting scenes for visualization, web and BIM. Both run from the same scan, so many projects use them together.
Can LCC reconstruct a scene from 2D video?
Yes. LCC Studio’s Video Reconstruction builds a 3DGS scene directly from ordinary 2D video, alongside single-model, Map Fusion, Aerial-Ground Map Fusion and Aerial Reconstruction workflows.
What SDKs does Lixel CyberColor offer?
LCC provides a Unity SDK (open-source on GitHub), an Unreal SDK (LCC4Unreal), a Web SDK for Three.js and Cesium.js, a Unity WebGL SDK, and an LCC for Revit plugin. The SDKs are free from developer.xgrids.com.
What file formats does LCC export?
LCC Studio exports .lcc, .lcc2, .ply, .usd and 3D Tiles. The LCC2 format is open-sourced to standardize 3D Gaussian Splatting pipelines across third-party tools.
Will LCC run on my GPU?
LCC Studio includes a Video Memory (VRAM) limit, a Low Memory Reconstruction mode, and a Portability (SH on/off) option, so you can balance quality against model size and available graphics hardware.
What are LixelGO and LCC Scan?
LixelGO is the mobile app for controlling Lixel scanners and monitoring scans in the field. LCC Scan is the mobile capture app used to drive PortalCam and spatial captures for 3DGS reconstruction.
Is Lixel CyberColor free?
The LCC SDKs and the LCC2 file format are free and open. LCC Studio and LCC Cloud are XGRIDS products — check xgrids.com for current availability and licensing.
