This Sunday, the Greenpoint Film Festival in Brooklyn will become a hub for groundbreaking discussions in the realm of AI and filmmaking. In a not-to-be-missed event, Jake Oleson, an innovative director and electronic musician, will be conducting a free seminar titled "DAWN OF A.I. FILMMAKING: Focus on Neural Radiance Fields". This seminar is a unique opportunity for visionaries and creators to explore the transformative impact of AI in cinema.

Jake-Oleson

Jake Oleson is no stranger to the intersection of art and technology. His impressive portfolio includes being the Silver Winner at this year's Runway AI Film Festival with the first ever NeRF short film, "Given Again". Oleson's expertise also extends to creating NeRF music videos for artists such as Zayn Malik and RL Grime, with the latter featuring over 700 NeRFs. His unique blend of emotional storytelling, electronic music, and AI technologies has established him as a pioneer in this emerging field.

The seminar, presented in collaboration with the ELM Foundation, will delve into the use of AI tools like RunwayML, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion that are reshaping filmmaking. Participants will learn about workflows that integrate AI for text-to-video conversions and enhancing single images using NeRFs. Moreover, Oleson will share insights from his own projects, such as “Given Again” and “Pour Your Heart Out”, demonstrating how AI can be seamlessly integrated into the creative process.

This event is tailored for those aged 21 and up, ideally with a basic knowledge or interest in AI content generation, or filmmakers looking to infuse AI into their craft. Attendees will gain a deep understanding of AI's role in augmenting traditional filmmaking techniques, learn practical applications of AI in various stages of filmmaking, and have the chance to network with fellow creatives and tech enthusiasts.

Join them at the Greenpoint Film Festival for a seminar that promises to be more than just a learning experience. It's a gateway to the next wave of cinematic innovation, offering a glimpse into the future of filmmaking where AI plays a central role. Reserve your spot now and be part of this exciting exploration of AI's transformative impact on the world of cinema.
