Arrival.Space has released version 2026.10, which lets visitors hold real time voice conversations with AI characters inside a Space.
Arrival.Space announced the release on October 13. Its NPCs now answer aloud in natural AI voices in any language, with the audio coming from where the character stands, and a visitor can interrupt mid reply. The characters can act during a conversation as well, opening a door, handing over an item, or closing a sale. Voice chat is limited to Business accounts for now, which Arrival.Space attributes to inference costs, but the creator chooses who their NPCs talk to, free accounts included.
Characters are built as Vibes, the platform's interactive features that AI generates from a plain language prompt. Version 2026.6 added Google 3D Tiles support and a splat cropper, and a talking NPC now takes a single request, with "add a shopkeeper I can talk to" as the company's example.
Vibes themselves gain several abilities in 2026.10. A Vibe can bring back something from an earlier version of a Space, save and load its own files such as high scores, levels and settings, and use what Arrival.Space calls the free GPT-6 Luna model for text. Vibes also know exactly what a visitor clicked, splats included, and can map those clicks to their own controls. Custom sounds can be paused, seeked and rewound, cutscenes can pause, resume and trigger what comes next, and VR snap turning can be switched off.
Arrival.Space 2026.10 adds SSAO ambient occlusion to Post Effects and finer gaussian splatting detail settings. The announcement does not specify what the new detail controls adjust.
Spaces now show their splash screen right away on load, dropping a .vrm file adds an avatar, and PDFs and other files can be attached to a prompt. The release follows 2026.8, which Arrival.Space's release notes list with SPZ v3 and v4 support and an image to splat framework.
A shop built in a Space can now put a clerk behind its counter that a visitor speaks to, and that hands over what was asked for. The Pen Shop demo is live now.
