Captures Studio Releases Multi Splat for Aligning, Comparing and Viewing 3DGS

Captures Studio has released Multi Splat, a free browser tool for aligning, comparing and replaying multiple gaussian splat captures of the same place. Multi Splat runs three modes, Align, Compare and 4D Timelapse, and captures load from local files, from self hosted URLs, or from an existing Captures Studio account.
Align works on matched control point pairs, with one capture set as the reference and one as the capture being moved. Clicking the same physical feature on both places a matched pair, and three pairs spread widely across the scene are the stated minimum. Multi Splat then solves for the rotation, translation and uniform scale that brings the second capture onto the first. Points can be nudged, re-placed and deleted, and every edit is undoable.
Compare draws two aligned captures either side of a seam that drags across the viewport, with both halves sharing a single camera so the two views cannot drift apart.
4D Timelapse plays the whole set in capture order as one continuous scrub, handing over between captures with a cross fade or a magic wavefront transition. Pace is set per segment, an orbit is optional, and the pass renders to MP4 or WebM with the capture name burned into the frame.
Multi Splat opens .ply, .spz, .splat and .ksplat files, along with the .rad format used by Spark, World Labs' three.js splat renderer, which streams progressively so a large capture is drawable before it has finished arriving. Files go in by drag and drop or by pointing the tool at a URL.
Files are read and decoded in the browser and never leave the machine. Sharing works by encoding the entire session, every capture, its alignment, the timelapse settings and the active tab, into the page URL, and the recipient gets either an editable copy or a view only one limited to Compare and Timelapse. Because nothing is uploaded, a share link carries only captures that already live at a URL, so a session built from local files can be worked and exported but not shared.
Aligned captures write back out as .spz with the new pose baked in, and streaming .rad captures are the one exception that cannot be re-written. It is free and available now.
