Generating explorable 3D worlds from text, images or video

World Labs is a San Francisco company building large world models, founded by Fei-Fei Li. It raised $1 billion in funding announced on February 18 2026, with investors including AMD, Autodesk, Emerson Collective, Fidelity Management & Research Company, NVIDIA and Sea. That figure is the total the company has disclosed publicly and it sits well above the seed and Series A rounds that preceded it.

The first product is Marble, a multimodal world model that generates spatially coherent, persistent 3D worlds. Marble accepts text, a single image, multiple images, 360 panoramas and video, and exposes an advanced create flow with a Chisel mode for direct 3D layout control and an expand function for growing a world into a larger space. Video input is gated to paid tiers.

Marble is priced by credits and generation count across four tiers. The free tier gives 7,000 credits and up to four world generations. Standard at $20 per month gives 20,000 credits and up to twelve generations, and it is the tier where splat file export, 360 panorama export, low resolution collider mesh export, community asset downloads, draft mode and credit top ups unlock. Pro at $35 per month gives 40,000 credits and up to twenty five generations, and adds high resolution textured mesh export, enhanced rendered video output and commercial rights. Max at $95 per month gives 120,000 credits and up to seventy five generations. API credits are purchased separately from top up credits.

The World API, announced in January 2026, exposes Marble's world generation to applications directly from text, images and video.

Spark is World Labs' separate open source contribution, an MIT licensed 3D Gaussian Splatting renderer for three.js that the company shipped after renaming it from Forge. Spark 2.0 arrived on April 14 2026 with a streamable level of detail system for splats on the web, described in the company's own technical writeup. The current release is v2.1.0 from May 18 2026. The repository carries 3,450 stars, and nothing has been merged since July 15 2026 with 127 issues and pull requests open.

World Labs acquired SceniX, a robotics company, on July 21 2026, framing the deal around bringing world models and learning based simulation into a closed loop with real world robot learning. The company followed a week later with a writeup of real to sim to real as a training and evaluation engine for robot policies. Neither the acquisition nor the robotics direction has an obvious dependency on Marble's consumer tiers, and World Labs has not said what SceniX technology will ship in a product.

Marble is available now.
