Waldek Technologies has added BIM import to Gauzilla Pro, its browser based platform for 4D gaussian splatting reality capture.
Gauzilla Pro builds a 4D time-lapse from a series of videos shot on smartphones, drones, or 360 cameras, with a splat reconstruction of the site at each snapshot. Rendering and editing run in the browser with no installation, while splat generation runs on Waldek's cloud GPU servers. Yoshiharu Sato, who wrote the original Gauzilla renderer in Rust, had already added object segmentation and interactive move, clone, and erase tools to the Pro version in 2024.
Gauzilla Pro now places a BIM design model directly over the as built splats in every snapshot of the time-lapse. In Sato's description, the overlay compares what was planned with what was built "week by week, or even day by day." A contractor capturing a weekly drone video of a jobsite can step through the sequence with the design model in place and see which elements have gone up since the previous capture.
The second addition is rendering. Combined BIM and splat scenes can be rendered with what Waldek calls "AI-enhanced imaging" to show how the building will look once complete. Those images are generated previews of unbuilt work, and Waldek positions them as a shared picture for owners, designers, and contractors. The demonstration scene uses data courtesy of Esri.
Waldek does not list the BIM formats Gauzilla Pro imports beyond the IFC model used in its demo, how the model is registered to each snapshot, or which pricing tier includes the feature. The comparison it describes is visual, and the announcement mentions no automated deviation check against a tolerance. Gauzilla Pro separately offers georeferencing inside the app, which assigns GNSS coordinates to three points picked in a scene.
When Gauzilla Pro first appeared with a public website in 2024, it had a waitlist and no announced price. The Generator tier is now free until December 31, 2026, against a list price of $199 a month. The Editor tier costs $199 a month billed every six months, and the Pro tier, which combines both, costs $266 a month billed every three months. Enterprise pricing is by request.
Gauzilla Pro is available now.
