KIRI Engine 4.3 is out on iOS and Android, with faster 3DGS training and a redesigned capture experience.
The update follows KIRI Engine 4.2 in April, which shipped 3DGS to Mesh 3.0 alongside a 20% faster mesh conversion pipeline and a Measuring and Scaling tool. The 4.2 line was last updated to 4.2.8 in September.
KIRI Engine 4.3.0 reached the App Store on October 24, two days after the Google Play listing was updated. The release notes, identical on both stores, list improved 3DGS training speed and quality, a redesigned capture experience in the app, a 7 day free trial on the yearly plan, and bug fixes. Neither store gives a figure for the speed gain or says which aspects of quality changed.
KIRI's 4.3 announcement, posted on Instagram on October 27, adds that Featureless Object Scan is now combined with 3DGS Scan. Featureless Object Scan was KIRI's mode for shiny, reflective and transparent objects, and it produces a mesh. 3DGS Scan already returns both a Gaussian splat and a mesh from one capture, and KIRI's homepage describes the merged mode as one unified workflow for scanning challenging objects.
The same announcement also lists Auto Capture and smoother Gaussian splat backgrounds, neither of which appears in the store notes.
On KIRI's pricing page, 3DGS Scan with mesh output is listed under the Pro plan, and the yearly plan renews at USD 79.99 per year once the trial ends.
KIRI Engine 4.3 is available now on iOS, with the matching update on Google Play.
