KIRI Innovations is a startup based in Shenzhen, China. The founders, Jack Wang and Chris Hu established the company in 2019 and created the flagship hardware Phiz 3D Scanner. 

The company rebranded itself during COVID as production times slowed down, shifting towards an emphasis on accessible and affordable 3D scanning solutions. The KIRI Engine was introduced to the App Store and the Google Play Store in March 2022, which offered state of the art photogrammetry scanning technology on Android, iOS, and web platforms.

Since its initial launch, KIRI has been hard at work to bring forth the most technologically advanced 3D scanning methods to the general public. Major updates and features were introduced to the KIRI Engine App in the past two years, including features such as Featureless Object Scan (Neural Surface Reconstruction), LiDAR Object Capture, as well as the latest 3D Gaussian Splatting. Abiding their mission statement, KIRI aims to drastically reduce the cost of 3D asset creation, providing a versatile tool that everyone can access. 

KIRI stands out among the 3D scanning applications in various ways, as it supports quad-mesh PBR texture exports, in addition to the 3D Gaussian Splat mesh export and editing features.
