Magnopus has released OKO 2026.22, which brings depth of field to gaussian splats in the OKO web client.
In OKO web client 4.20.1, gaussian splat rendering now responds to depth of field in cinematic camera mode. Until this release, splats in a cinematic shot sat outside the focus effect applied to the rest of the scene. The same web client makes WebGPU its default display mode, which OKO says improves rendering performance in a space, and fixes inverted reflections and a video deletion error in WebGPU mode.
OKO 2026.22 also adds tint and cull support to gaussian splat modifier volumes, so color grading or cropping of a volumetric capture shows in real time. The release notes file the modifier change under their Unity section, alongside fixes for anchored assets disappearing and failed downloads that now retry. OKO's announcement on November 2 assigns the same change to the iOS client, which ships in this release as version 1.61.0.
The notes do not say whether splat depth of field or the modifier tint and cull controls reach the other OKO clients. OKO publishes no performance figures for the WebGPU switch.
The rest of the release is not splat work. The OKO Unreal plugin 6.4.0 adds a Nodey Unreal Sequence node, drag and drop between Unreal and Nodey, and a dedicated quota management service, and the web client gains spatial audio for in-space voice.
The changes are listed in the OKO 2026.22 release notes.
