RunwayML is building artificial intelligence systems to usher in a new era for creativity where the best stories are yet to be told.
RunwayML has a NeRF platform, 3D Capture, in beta. 3D Capture is a NeRF method that allows users to upload their capture sets directly to the cloud and process through Runway's implementation. There is no public information about what their implementation uses currently.
Once completed, Runway offers a editor and the ability to create camera paths for their NeRFs. However, it should be noted you will need a paid subscription to export a render longer than five seconds. There are render presets such as aspect ratios for an IG post, story, or general HD to choose from, with further paid options.
For capturing data, Runway has also provided a quick tutorial for best practices.
In addition to the 3D Capture platform, Runway has also popped up in the world of Radiance Fields through their AI Film Festival. The 2023 Silver Winner, Jake Oleson, created the short film "Given Again", in which every single frame is a NeRF. Several of the 2024 winners also utilized Radiance Fields in their work, including the Grand Prix winning film, Get Me Out by Daniel Antebi and the Silver award with Junie Lau's e^(i*π) + 1 = 0.
