Teleport Adds Developer Plan With API Access

Teleport API

Teleport has added a Developer Plan to their cloud based gaussian splatting offering. With the launch of its new tier, Varjo is making it possible to use Teleport at real scale. There are no more hard caps. You can create as many reconstructions as you need, and for the first time, you can integrate the entire 3D capture and processing flow via API.

Pricing is of course usage based. $1 per capture, plus $0.01 per image with a monthly $30.00 payment. That alone makes it more appealing for teams with fluctuating project needs or experimental workflows. But the more interesting piece is the API. It lets you automate uploads, manage processing, and embed results directly into apps, dashboards, or websites.

There are still limits. 3,000 images per capture and 4 million splats. The input image count feels generous enough for most use cases, but for high image counts, it might be nice to have more splats being represented. The API can accept data from iPhones, drones, and traditional 2D cameras. Final captures can be viewed in a browser, in VR, on iOS, Windows.

This follows a string of infrastructure focused updates over the past few months, including their Level of Detail system, WebGPU based viewer, and support for .ply uploads.
