TuttiCam is a free app that syncs up to eight iPhones, Android phones, action cameras and mirrorless cameras into one capture rig for gaussian splatting datasets.
One device hosts and the others follow. TuttiCam reads each iPhone's gyroscope to estimate motion blur and starts the next round of photos only once every connected iPhone is steady, so an operator can walk a route, stop, and let the whole group fire.
iPhones connect peer to peer over AWDL, the Apple protocol behind AirDrop, with no router or internet connection. TuttiCam lists measured shutter timing jitter of ±15 to 35 ms on an iPhone 14 Pro, rising in low light, and states that coordinated triggering is not hardware synchronized exposure.
Single lens capture saves RAW (DNG) on compatible iPhones, while dual lens capture from the 0.5x ultrawide and front cameras together is JPEG or HEIC only. Selected DJI, GoPro, Sony, Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon and Ricoh cameras fire over Bluetooth, and their photos stay on the camera. Each iPhone photo gets a JSON file with exposure timing, sync deviation, camera settings and motion data, which the TuttiCam capture guide says is not universal camera calibration and may not import directly into photogrammetry tools. TuttiCam does not reconstruct or train splats.
The Android version is a native port of the iOS app, published on GitHub under GPL-3.0, with v1.0 through v1.3 tagged on October 15. Android phones and iPhones can shoot in the same session over shared Wi-Fi or a hotspot, with either one hosting. Android v1.3 and iOS 1.2 both add DJI video mode recording and DJI sleep and wake.
The developer trained a car exhibition, captured in about 4,000 images from a DJI Osmo 360 and an iPhone 14 Pro, in Spirula Studio, and processed a home shot in about 1,200 iPhone images in MipMap before publishing it to VRChat via Unity.
The free tier covers three devices with stillness gated interval shooting, manual white balance and tint, and AF/MF. Pro is needed only on the host and raises the limit to eight devices, adding manual shutter and ISO, Route Compass and custom scene names. TuttiCam is available now on the App Store and on GitHub.
