Volinga Suite

Volinga has released Volinga Suite 0.3.0, a significant update to its Gaussian Splatting authoring tool that introduces a new training engine, in app editing tools, and workflow improvements aimed at shortening the path from capture to production ready asset.

Their team has announced a complete integration of LichtFeld Studio as the new training backend. Just last week, Volinga joined as a sponsor to Lichtfeld Studio and now we are learning more about that commitment. Volinga claims the switch delivers up to 10x faster training speeds compared to previous versions, along with support for advanced training strategies. LichtFeld Studio is an open-source, C++23 and CUDA-based 3DGS platform created by MrNeRF.

The other major addition is a new Asset Editor built directly into the Suite. Users can now clean, split, and optimize 3DGS models without leaving the application. Previous versions of Volinga Suite supported merging multiple splats into a single scene, but direct editing like removing artifacts, isolating regions, manual point-level cleanup, was not yet available.

On the ingest side, version 0.3.0 adds a Media Importer with drag and drop support, making it faster to pull in source files and kick off asset creation. The Content Browser now supports importing datasets from third party tools like RealityScan, with training starting immediately from pre aligned data. The Suite already supported aligned COLMAP models from tools like RealityScan and Metashape, so this extends that interoperability further.

Rounding out the release are retrain and continue training capabilities accessible directly from the Content Browser. Users can refine parameters and iterate on assets without restarting the full pipeline from scratch.

"Volinga Suite 0.3.0 is all about empowering creators to move faster and iterate freely," said Fernando Rivas Manzaneque, Co-Founder and CEO at Volinga. "We've focused on removing technical barriers so users can spend more time creating and less time managing workflows."

Volinga Suite 0.3.0 is available now with a free watermarked trial. The full Suite is part of Volinga's Studio and Enterprise subscription tiers. The Volinga team will be at NAB next week for demos.
