Voxel51 has launched Voxel51 3.0, which brings search, curation, annotation, and evaluation of multimodal physical AI data into one platform.
Voxel51 3.0 adds time series support that places multiple sensor streams on one timeline, plus unified annotation across 2D, 3D, video, and multimodal data. Voxel51 Search is a persistent hybrid index combining semantic and lexical search with structured metadata and multimodal events, with LanceDB handling vector retrieval. Agentic Labeling generates labels with vision language models from natural language instructions, and Voxel51 Agent chains the steps together through more than 45 MCP tools, more than 80 operators, and 18 open source skills.
Splat support lives in the open source FiftyOne underneath the platform, whose 3D viewer has loaded splats as native 3D samples since FiftyOne 1.21.0 on August 19. Voxel51 2.24.0, the enterprise release that shipped the same day, includes it.
The Apple SHARP model, added to the FiftyOne model zoo in 1.14.0 in March, already turned a single image into a gaussian splat, but its exported FO3D scenes pointed at a lossy point cloud preview. Those scenes now point at the original splat.
FiftyOne 1.21.0 reads PLY, SPZ, SPLAT, KSPLAT, SOG, and RAD files and detects Gaussian PLY files automatically. A splat file can serve directly as a sample with media_type set to 3d, or sit in an FO3D scene through the GaussianSplat class, which takes a format hint, center_geometry, opacity, and tint, and accepts a .zip only when the format is sog. The App's 3D visualizer adds splat controls for appearance, detail, sharpness, sorting, and spherical harmonics quality.
FiftyOne renders splats with World Labs' Spark 2.1.0, the minor release that followed Spark 2.0's paged LoD streaming, mounting one Spark renderer on demand per scene with LoD aware bounds for framing. Uniform transforms use Spark's packed representation, and non-uniform or reflected transforms switch to covariance splats so the geometry stays exact.
Miris began streaming radiance field scenes into the same viewer through a FiftyOne plugin in June. A robotics team holding splat reconstructions on disk can now load them into a FiftyOne dataset beside its camera and lidar samples without a plugin. FiftyOne is available now under the Apache 2.0 license, and Voxel51 3.0 offers a free self-serve trial.
