VoxelKei's Spatialography Selected for Venice Immersive 2026 Best of Worlds

VoxelKei's Spatialography, a gaussian splatting VRChat world, has been selected for the Venice Immersive 2026 Best of Worlds lineup, placing a 3DGS native experience among the 26 VRChat worlds that La Biennale di Venezia will present Out of Competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The selection was announced on 15 July 2026 as part of the full Venice Immersive slate. 68 projects from 26 countries, marking the section's tenth anniversary, with Spatialography appearing specifically under Best of Worlds, the showcase of independent worlds built on the VRChat social platform and presented to accredited visitors as guided tours.
Spatialography is rendered inside VRChat's Unity runtime and reachable by anyone running the client. Best of Worlds accounts for 26 of the 35 Out of Competition projects this year (the remaining nine fall under Best of Experiences), and the entire Venice Immersive section is being held with the support of VRChat, on the Venice Immersive Island at Lazzaretto Vecchio.
Best of Worlds gathers works released or premiered elsewhere since the last edition rather than the 30 projects entered in the juried In Competition race for the Venice Immersive Grand Prize, Special Jury Prize, and Achievement Prize. Earlier this year Spatialography took a Grand Prize at the AIxR Creative Awards, and the Venice slot extends that trajectory from an XR industry award to an A-list film festival's immersive program.
Venice Immersive runs 2–12 September 2026 on the island of Lazzaretto Vecchio, with a press and industry preview on the afternoon of 1 September. The full selection is available now via the Biennale announcement.
