FAQ
PortalCam rental FAQ
How much does it cost to rent a PortalCam in New York City?
The PortalCam rents for $300 per day, $400 per weekend and $1,000 per week before sales tax. Operator-included capture starts at $1,500 per day.
Do I need my own LCC Studio license?
No. The rental includes LCC Studio access for the rental period, so captures can be processed into 3D Gaussian splatting scenes without a separate subscription.
Can you capture the space for me?
Yes. The operator-included rate covers on-site capture and processing in LCC Studio, with the finished scene delivered in the formats LCC Studio exports.
How long does the PortalCam run on a charge?
About 60 minutes per battery. A battery charges from empty to full in about 90 minutes.
Is the PortalCam right for survey work?
It is built for photorealistic 3DGS capture rather than survey deliverables. Survey-grade point clouds with RTK are the job of the XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro.
Do you ship outside New York City?
Rentals are local pickup by default. Shipping within the United States can be arranged for weekly hires.
