Ahmad Emranian has released Abu Align & Train v0.1.5.8, a free desktop app that puts camera alignment, 360 rig splitting and gaussian splatting training in one interface.
Abu Align & Train integrates seven alignment engines, though only COLMAP ships with the app and the rest are external integrations users install separately. COLMAP, OpenSfM, Niantic ACE0 and NVIDIA cuSFM sit beside the feed forward transformers VGGT-Omega and NVIDIA VGG-T3, plus 360DVO. A virtual rig splitter cuts 360 footage into multi-camera views, OpenSfM targets equirectangular captures from cameras such as Insta360, Ricoh Theta and GoPro Max, and SAM 2 masks tripods, operators and other objects.
Training runs through LichtFeld Studio, Nerfstudio Splatfacto, NVIDIA 3DGRUT and PFGS360. Exports cover COLMAP sparse models, Nerfstudio transforms.json, RealityScan camera rigs as .csv and .xml, and .ply and .spz Gaussian models. Laskos's 360 Gaussian Pro, released in August, outputs a sparse COLMAP model, pinhole splits and masks for training in LichtFeld Studio, Postshot or Brush.
Version 0.1.5.8 ships as a Windows 10 and 11 x64 installer, a Linux x86_64 AppImage and a macOS Universal disk image. These are bootstrap installers whose first run downloads Python and its dependencies.
A v0.1.6.6 pre-release posted on October 19 replaces that path on Windows with an online installer that fetches pinned CUDA panorama alignment and a native panorama trainer. GPU training requires an NVIDIA SM75 or newer card and an R580 or newer driver, while the Linux x64 and macOS arm64 builds remain CPU candidates. Intel Mac support is deferred because PyCOLMAP 4.2.0 publishes no Intel Mac wheel. The Windows trainer it downloads is built from LichtFeld Studio revision 00a96b6 under GPL-3.0-or-later with an upstream GPU-library exception, a development revision between the 0.5.4 release that added the .licht project format and the later 0.5.4.1 tag.
Abu Align & Train carries mixed licensing. The repository's LICENSE.txt is Meta's VGGT License, VGGT-Omega and VGG-T3 carry noncommercial terms, ACE0 is noncommercial and limits redistribution to source form, and PFGS360 has no complete top-level license grant established. The README adds: "Free pricing and automatic model downloads do not remove those restrictions."
Abu Align & Train v0.1.5.8 is available now on GitHub.
