The team behind ANNX Studio continues to push updates, and the v1.0.5 release brings another round of quality improvements. This time with a clear focus on performance, stability, and install flow for Windows users.
If you’ve been using the Windows version since its launch, this update is a worthwhile refresh. Most notably, modeling speeds have improved by roughly 10%, thanks to continued optimization of the underlying 3DGS engine. That speed bump alone is a solid reason to update, especially if you’re working with large datasets or using the Xsplat mode introduced in v1.0.3.
The team also resolved a frustrating bug where, in some cases, the viewer wouldn’t launch after training completed. Additionally, the engine installation flow has been cleaned up. Previously, the full engine download kicked off during the MSI installation process, which sometimes caused confusion or failures. With v1.0.5, the download now begins after launching the app.
And for both Mac and Windows users, the update addresses a subtle bug where modifying just the Align settings before modeling would incorrectly show 100 iterations in the UI, despite actually running the full 30,000 training steps. That display issue is now fixed.
ANNX Studio continues to quietly become one of the most robust and accessible tools for Gaussian Splatting. From Structure from Motion to post processing with SuperSplat, the end to end pipeline is a nice to have, especially while it's still free. These ongoing refinements are making the platform that much more dependable for real-world creative work.
I am most excited that they extended the free Pro membership through November 30th of this year. You can grab the latest version at annx.studio.
