Nearly a year after its public launch, Doly continues to push the boundaries of product visuals with the release of its Shopify plugin, bringing 3D photos directly into online storefronts. The update allows online store owners to embed interactive 3D photos directly onto their product pages, offering shoppers a more immersive way to explore items.

The integration is designed to streamline the process of publishing 3D content. After capturing a product using the Doly app, merchants can generate a 3D photo with a single tap. Once their Doly and Shopify accounts are connected, the interactive image can be dropped into a product listing like any other media asset. The result is a drag-to-rotate viewing experience embedded directly on the page—no custom code or technical setup required.

Several ecommerce brands have already adopted Doly’s 3D capture pipeline to improve product storytelling online. Marketplaces like SidelineSwap and WeTheNew have used it to generate visuals for sneakers, gear, and other inventory, while independent creators are also experimenting with the format on social platforms.

With this plugin, Doly aims to lower the barrier to entry for 3D content in online retail. an area that’s traditionally required specialized equipment or in house teams. The plugin is available with both free and paid tiers, depending on the scale of usage. The Doly app itself remains free to download on iOS.

More information about the plugin can be found here, and the app is available via the App Store.
