Role Overview
As a Gaussian Splatting Streaming Platform Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize streaming pipelines for Gaussian Splatting–based 3D visualization, delivering low-latency, high-fidelity rendering of medical imaging data.
You will build and maintain the platform services, APIs, and infrastructure required to process, stream, and deliver scalable 3D content to downstream applications. This role involves close collaboration with imaging scientists and product teams to translate clinical and diagnostic requirements into robust, production-ready systems.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include software development, debugging, performance optimization, system reliability, production support, and contributing to the architectural direction of secure, scalable visualization platforms designed for clinical environments.
Responsibilities
Design and optimize streaming pipelines for Gaussian Splatting–based 3D visualization.
Build scalable platform services, APIs, and infrastructure supporting real-time delivery of medical 3D content.
Develop low-latency, high-performance rendering workflows for large imaging datasets.
Debug, profile, and optimize platform performance across the software stack.
Collaborate with imaging scientists and product teams to translate diagnostic requirements into technical solutions.
Monitor production systems, troubleshoot reliability issues, and improve platform stability.
Contribute to architectural decisions that support secure, compliant, and efficient deployment within clinical environments.
Qualifications
Strong software engineering and web development experience, including building production-grade services and platforms.
Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure.
Knowledge of:
3D computer graphics
Computer vision
Proficiency with modern AI-assisted ("vibe coding") development workflows, with demonstrated success delivering production software.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong UI/UX design instincts and attention to user experience.
