We are seeking a
Senior Graphics Engineer
to help drive the development of a modern, high-performance rendering engine powering next-generation research experiences within the Codec Avatars Lab.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize features in a modern Vulkan rendering engine
• Profile and improve GPU and CPU performance across the rendering pipeline
• Implement advanced rendering techniques such as deferred shading, ray tracing, and HDR
• Support multi-GPU real-time rendering and multithreaded XR rendering
• Integrate rendering systems with research platforms and adjacent technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the rendering stack
• Contribute to tooling, documentation, build health, and cross-platform support
🔹 Required Skills:
✅ Strong C++ programming experience
✅ Hands-on expertise with Vulkan
✅ Desktop graphics development experience
✅ Deep understanding of real-time rendering, GPU architecture, and shading models
✅ Experience profiling and optimizing GPU/CPU performance
✅ Version control experience (Git, Mercurial, etc.)
✅ Excellent communication skills
🔹 Preferred Skills:
⭐ Game engine development
⭐ Ray tracing, deferred shading, HDR rendering
⭐ Neural rendering, Gaussian splatting, radiance fields
⭐ AI tooling experience
⭐ OpenXR / Desktop VR development
⭐ OpenGL, D3D12, Metal, or Android graphics
⭐ DLSS and other upscaling technologies
⭐ PyTorch, CUDA, TensorRT, Python interoperability
⭐ CMake, Bazel, Buck, and open-source project experience
