Location: Remote
Compensation: Up to $300,000 + Equity

About the Opportunity

We're partnered with a well-funded startup at the forefront of media generation and digital identity, building the infrastructure for the next generation of interactive, AI-powered experiences.

Their platform enables developers and creators to generate fully customizable characters, digital assets, and AI companions, positioning them at the intersection of generative AI, gaming, and social platforms.

This is a high-impact role within a growing R&D team focused on building cutting-edge machine learning systems for media generation. You'll work on models that power character creation, digital fashion, and interactive experiences, helping define how users create and express themselves in digital environments.

What You'll Do

  • Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for high-quality image, video, and 3D asset generation

  • Work across computer vision and computer graphics to generate meshes, textures, and motion

  • Build and optimize generative models, including:

    • Diffusion models

    • GANs

    • Transformer-based architectures

  • Integrate machine learning systems into user-facing creative tools and applications

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and creative teams to deliver AI-powered features

  • Manage machine learning infrastructure, including datasets, experiments, and deployment pipelines

  • Stay current with emerging research and translate new techniques into production systems

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or a related field

  • 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning, computer vision, or computer graphics

  • Strong Python programming skills

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

  • Experience with generative models, including:

    • Diffusion models

    • GANs

    • Variational Autoencoders (VAEs)

  • Experience with modern neural network architectures, including Transformers and Vision Transformers (ViTs)

  • Solid understanding of 3D graphics, computational geometry, or related disciplines

  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional engineering teams and communicating technical concepts effectively

Nice to Have

  • Experience with 3D reconstruction, tracking, or geometry analysis

  • Familiarity with neural rendering techniques such as NeRF or Gaussian Splatting

  • Experience scaling machine learning models and optimizing training pipelines

  • Background in distributed training, data pipelines, and experiment tracking

  • Publications or meaningful contributions to research or open-source projects
