Gauss Cannon
Gauss Cannon is an open-source Blender add-on by Arash Keshmirian that automates camera-path and point-cloud generation for Gaussian Splatting and photogrammetry workflows. Place any mesh as a camera template; the add-on positions and orients cameras at each face, skips intersecting geometry via raycast, and exports training packages compatible with LichtFeld Studio, Postshot, and nerfstudio.

Gauss Cannon is a Blender add-on that automates the laborious parts of preparing scenes for Gaussian Splatting training. Instead of manually placing and animating dozens of cameras, artists drop any mesh in as a template — the add-on instantiates a camera at each face center, orients it opposite the face normal, applies the chosen focal length and resolution, and uses raycasts to skip cameras that would end up inside geometry.
Outputs are complete training packages: rendered images, transforms.json, and colored PLY point clouds compatible with LichtFeld Studio, Postshot, nerfstudio, and other Gaussian Splatting trainers. Gauss Cannon is open source and maintained by Arash Keshmirian on GitHub.
