Split View Studio
Split View Studio makes The Splat Toolkit, browser and desktop apps for aligning Gaussian splat scans and building interactive 4D timeline tours.
Platform
Browser apps in a supported desktop browser, with desktop apps included on both plans. The Business desktop apps handle LCC2, Streamed SOG and very large scans
GPU
None published. Splat Aligner and TimeSplat 4D render Gaussian splats in a desktop browser or desktop app, which implies a WebGL2 or WebGPU capable GPU. Nothing is trained locally, since the toolkit aligns and presents finished scans

Aligning Gaussian splat scans and building multi-date 4D timeline tours for the browser

Split View Studio is the trading name of SPLIT VIEW VFX, LLC, and The Splat Toolkit is its product, a set of browser and desktop apps for aligning Gaussian splatting captures and presenting them as interactive tours. The toolkit contains two tools. Splat Aligner registers scans against one another, and TimeSplat 4D turns several dates, scans or states of the same place into a timeline that a visitor steps through in the browser. Split View Studio groups its earliest Standard updates as the initial release of both tools, and its published change history starts with Standard 0.3.8 on September 13, 2026.
Splat Aligner loads PLY, SPLAT and SOG scans and aligns them automatically from three picked points, with a layer comparison before a transform is committed. It exports transforms and aligned scans. The desktop Splat Aligner opens large PLY scans in full detail and merges them directly into a single PLY file after showing the estimated file size, and the Business edition adds a placement profile for the XGRIDS LCC Model Editor.
TimeSplat 4D builds a multi-stage timeline with side by side and adjustable split views, stage names, notes and playback, and exports it as a self-hosted browser tour. Since September it has added portals that connect scans with arrival and return views, Teleport Points that link two places inside one scan, a Navigation Network in beta that guides hotspot camera journeys, background sound that can change by area and, in Business 0.5.3, an optional boundary for each Stage and Visibility Zones that show an interior scan only while a visitor is inside it. A tour can be set to real-world scale by picking two points and entering the distance between them in meters, and hotspots carry images, video, PDFs and embedded 3D viewers.
The Standard edition covers PLY, SPLAT and SOG. Business adds LCC2 scans, Streamed SOG packages with level of detail, very large scans and conversion of heavy PLY files into Web-ready packages for the browser, and its desktop apps handle LCC2, Streamed SOG and the largest files. The two editions are versioned separately, and on October 21, 2026 Standard reached 0.4.7 and Business reached 0.5.8, both adding one-click flight toward a surface.
Standard costs $129 for a lifetime licence as a limited-time offer, or $29 a month. Business costs $399 a year or $39 a month, and a 7-day Business evaluation is requested through the My Split View account, reviewed by hand and started at first activation on one device. Alignment, editing and self-hosted export run locally, and scans are uploaded only when a user chooses Publish Online, which hosts a finished tour behind an unlisted link. Since Standard 0.4.5 and Business 0.5.2, Publish Online is included with Standard monthly and Business subscriptions and is an optional extra for Standard Lifetime. Tours can also be exported to the customer's own server, AWS, Cloudflare or a client portal.
