Real Horizons has pushed four AI authoring features to Spatial Studio alongside three core platform additions, substantially expanding what the platform can do between capture and publishing.
Reframe lets creators capture any viewpoint from a Gaussian Splat scene and then restage it, changing materials, lighting, palette, and mood via prompt, template, or reference images, while keeping walls, openings, and camera geometry intact.
Output scales to 4K and embeds back into the tour as a Reframe view, making it usable as marketing imagery, hero shots, or virtual staging without leaving the editor. Real Horizons powers this with what they describe as nano banana models.
Spatial Props extends that capability at the object level. Using brush or lasso controls on a Reframe selection, creators can generate individual object level Gaussian Splats from specific regions of a scene like a chair, fixture, or counter, and then place and reposition those object splats within the tour.
On the annotation side, Smart Hotspots uses AI to draft titles, descriptions, icons, and colors for hotspot annotations based on the tour's context and view thumbnails, with a human review step before anything goes live. Auto Translate accompanies it, handling multilingual versions of tour and hotspot content instantly.
Several capabilities that were flagged as roadmap items when radiancefields.com first covered Spatial Studio in February have now shipped. PlayCanvas LOD streaming is live, enabling smooth playback of large scenes through dynamic level of detail delivery. Multi splat tours let creators combine separate captures, an interior and an exterior, or two floors of the same property, into a single seamless experience. A 360 drone and handheld 360 camera workflow has also been added, with an automasking operator built into the cloud pipeline to clean up footage from those capture rigs before it reaches the editor.
The platform's underlying pitch that Gaussian Splatting for business needs narrative structure and a way to connect spatial experience to outcomes has extended into the AI layer. Reframe and Spatial Props address the authoring gap between raw capture and polished presentation; Smart Hotspots and Auto Translate address the publishing gap between a finished scene and a multilingual, annotated tour ready for a live audience. Real Horizons is offering access and free credits for those who want to try Spatial Studio directly.
