Xangle has grown Orbit, its multi-camera dataset app, into a pipeline that takes multi-camera captures through gaussian splatting training, editing and delivery.
Orbit was at v26.07.12 in August, batch preparing image sets for RealityScan, training splats, and editing splat animations and camera paths downstream of Xangle Camera Server. Orbit v26.09.24, released September 24, added splat training through Spirula and Xangle Cloud. The same release added render farm delegation, in which either Orbit or Camera Server acts as the main app and hands work to other Orbit instances on the local network.
Orbit v26.10.11, released October 11, expanded splat editing with per item crops, low resolution editing proxies, orbital trails, and smoother camera motion controls. Orbit can process splats through Xangle Cloud with credit based usage, and Orbit now exposes matching and camera model settings for Spirula Studio, the trainer that added laser scan inputs in v2026.10.6. Orbit processing workers can also join render farms, with controls for providers and tasks plus job tracking and logs.
Orbit v26.10.26, released October 26, added a Splat Player assistant that takes written descriptions of camera movements and effects, alongside a general in-app help assistant. Splat Player gained radial depth-echo layouts, red-carpet flash effects, preview quality and player size settings, and expanded point and filament rendering controls. Splat presets can be browsed, sorted, duplicated and played from a list, and preset libraries import and export across app, project and dataset scopes.
The same release introduced branding kits that bundle watermarks, overlays, replacement backgrounds, intros, outros and music, and that import or export with their files. Backup presets preview files and destinations before copying, browser pages gained phone and tablet layouts, and delivery emails come in corporate or friendly templates.
Xangle's changelog overview lists local training through Postshot or Spirula alongside Xangle Cloud, and PLY among Orbit's export options. A studio running a multi-camera rig can capture in Camera Server, send training to Orbit workers on its own network or to Xangle Cloud, then animate, brand and email the result from Orbit.
Orbit v26.10.27, released October 27, lets the assistant find, count and open Library shots by date and build branding kits from approved local files, showing proposed changes for review before saving. It also adds new gradient themes, a Chromakey panel split into Source, Result and Output views, and in-app guides and release notes. Orbit v26.10.27 is available now from Xangle.
