XGRIDS is rolling out a free and open beta, enabling a capability often requested by their users. Beginning today, their team has announced an open beta of LCC Cloud, allowing their users an easy way to process their captures in the cloud. Previously, the only way to process a capture was with a desktop or laptop computer with a NVIDIA RTX GPU.
LCC Cloud supports both single scene and portrait mode reconstruction, if you are using a PortalCam.
To receive access to the beta, the sign up period will run until January 1st. Shortly after applying using your XGRIDS account, users are granted a one month free trial to process their XGRIDS captures in the cloud. The beta will last for one month, beginning today, and is free for all users. The beta for LCC Cloud also comes with 500GB of cloud storage.
To be explicit this cloud based reconstructions will only work with XGRIDS based xbin file types, though it appears to be compatible for any of their devices, ranging from the recently announced PortalCam, K1, or L2 Pro.
If you are attending SIGGRAPH Asia, their team will be onsite to provide demos. People can apply for beta access through this link.
