The rollout of version 0.82 marks yet another leap forward for Arrival.Space, continuing the platform's steady cadence of community first enhancements. This release focuses on smarter discoverability, easier content management, and deeper environmental polish. Plus some behind the scenes upgrades that will make every space run smoother.

At the top of the list is Gate Linking, a feature long requested by creators building larger connected environments. Gates can now link directly to specific spawn points within other spaces, offering far more control over how users transition from one experience to another.

Content management is also getting a usability upgrade. The Content List now allows you to hide or delete items directly, saving creators from hunting through 3D space just to clean up or iterate. On the loading side, visitors now land in spaces with a much more polished experience. Loading screens now display a screenshot preview, along with the space's title and description, giving a clearer sense of what’s ahead and feels more like a video game.

Social features also saw a meaningful boost with the ability to Follow Creators, letting users stay updated with new public spaces and updates from their favorite builders. I still wholeheartedly recommend following Christoph Schindelar. And thanks to a quiet but important engine upgrade to PlayCanvas 2 and SuperSplat 2.8, users will see smoother editing, rendering, and overall performance across the board.

For Pro users, a new Tone Mapping option allows for visual stylization across an entire space. It’s a creative lever that helps spaces stand out in a visually crowded feed. Mobile controls continue to improve, offering smoother navigation and fewer input hiccups. The general UI has also been refined with numerous subtle tweaks to improve clarity and consistency across devices.

Two smaller but powerful changes round out the release. URLs are now much cleaner, ditching the old subdomain structure in favor of simpler URLs like arrival.space/radiancefields, which will make sharing and remembering links much easier. And finally, splat lighting continues to improve with enhanced shadow rendering, especially in Pro spaces, making environments feel more grounded and visually rich.

Annotation windows now support custom placement, giving creators precise control over where information appears, and a new Popular Spaces tab lets users see what's trending in the last 24 hours.

Version 0.82 is less about flashy new tools and more about enabling better flow. As Arrival.Space continues to mature, the connective tissue is becoming just as compelling as the content itself.
