CHCNAV has updated CoCloud, its cloud processing platform, with a new rendering engine for 3D Gaussian splatting models.
CoCloud already produced splats. Users upload field data and the platform generates point clouds, orthophotos, 3D models and 3D Gaussian splatting results, then displays them online alongside meshes and panoramas. CHCNAV released CoViewer earlier this month as a free Windows viewer that downloads CoCloud 3DGS projects for offline use, and its CoMeta desktop package writes splats to PLY and 3D Tiles.
CHCNAV says the new CoCloud engine preloads 3DGS models of up to 5 GB in seconds, for smoother review and navigation online. The company does not state the splat counts, file formats or client hardware behind that figure, or whether 5 GB is a hard ceiling.
On the processing side, CHCNAV credits expanded cloud computing capacity with making CoCloud data processing 20% faster. New preparation tools cover AI pedestrian filtering, point cloud denoising and real time job progress tracking. A built in project case gallery holds reference deliverables for presentations, customer demonstrations and proposals.
CHCNAV aims the update at users of its RS7 handheld LiDAR scanner and at 3D reality capture projects generally. The company has published no version number or release notes for the update. CoCloud is offered as a free plan and Basic and Advanced tiers, with pricing quoted on inquiry.
