CHC Navigation, which trades as CHCNAV, is a Shanghai company building mapping, navigation and positioning hardware and software. Its catalogue covers GNSS receivers, airborne and mobile LiDAR systems such as the AlphaAir 15 and AlphaAir 6, the X500 multirotor drone, the C30 aerial oblique camera, and machine control systems for excavators, dozers, graders and compactors. It sells worldwide through a dealer network alongside direct sales.
CoMeta is the product that carries gaussian splatting. CHCNAV launched it on September 10 2026 as professional desktop software combining photogrammetry and native 3D Gaussian Splatting in one processing environment, turning UAV and camera imagery with positioning and orientation data into georeferenced orthomosaics, digital surface models, textured meshes and 3DGS models. A single aerial triangulation result feeds every output type, so the measurement oriented deliverables and the photorealistic scene come from the same solve rather than from two separate runs.
Scale is the claim CHCNAV leads with. One CoMeta project can process more than 100,000 images, and distributed cluster processing spreads work across 15 or more computing nodes. CHCNAV says automated batch processing and dual engine computation completed end to end aerial triangulation, orthomosaic generation and mesh reconstruction roughly two to three times faster than the mainstream software configurations it tested, and that the 3DGS workflow cut manual retouching time by more than 70 percent on water surfaces, glass facades, vegetation and thin structures against the conventional mesh refinement workflow it compared with. Neither benchmark names the competing software or the hardware it ran on.
Format support is where CoMeta is unusual. Orthomosaics and digital surface models write to .tif, meshes to .osgb, .3dtiles and .obj, and 3DGS models to .ply and .3dtiles. Writing gaussian splats into 3D Tiles rather than only into PLY puts the splat output straight into the streaming tileset format that GIS and digital twin viewers already consume. CoMeta also carries a coordinate reference system library of more than 9,910 entries, and a calibration database of more than 400 camera profiles covering systems from DJI, Sony, Feima, RIY, Saier and others, so existing datasets from existing field equipment process without a proprietary acquisition platform.
CoMeta runs on 64 bit Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 and ships interface languages in English, Chinese and Russian. CHCNAV publishes no price and no system requirement for the software, and routes buyers through an inquiry form and its dealer network.
