SHARE3DCAM is the brand of SHARE3DCAM LIMITED, a maker of handheld and backpack SLAM LiDAR scanners and oblique aerial survey cameras whose Windows software, SHARE PointClouds Studio, reconstructs scans as point clouds, CAD drafts and 3D Gaussian Splatting scenes. The company traces its origin to a UAV research laboratory that the Shandong Academy of Sciences and Qilu University of Technology set up in 2010. Jinan SHARE UAV Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in August 2016 to commercialize that work, and Shenzhen SHARE Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd., which holds the copyright on the Chinese language site, followed in December 2019. The shareuavtec.com domain that SHARE3DCAM uses for its contact email redirects to share3dcam.com.

The first product was the SHARE 100 aerial camera in July 2017, followed by the PSDK 101S in April 2019 and a run of oblique cameras for real scene 3D mapping, including the 305 megapixel five lens SHARE 303S in May 2021. SHARE3DCAM says it had sold more than 1,700 oblique cameras by December 2020. The current aerial line is the SHARE 5 Series, launched in June 2025 for the DJI Matrice 400, alongside the PSDK 102S V3 gimbal camera and the SHARE 100M A10 medium format camera.

Scanning began with the SHARE SLAM S10 in April 2024. The S20 followed in April 2025 with a larger one inch sensor and a mechanical shutter, the S20 SE and S20 SE RTK renovation scanners in September 2025, and the S100 Series backpack scanners in October 2025. The S100-16, S100-32 and S100-32 PRO run 16 or 32 channel mechanical LiDAR at up to 640,000 points per second, carry one inch mechanical shutter mapping cameras, last around 180 minutes on two hot swappable batteries, and are quoted at better than 1 cm relative and 5 cm absolute accuracy. SHARE3DCAM lists the S20 SE from $3,999, the S20 from $4,999 and the S100 Series from $9,500, and names all three for Gaussian modeling, from small exhibition halls with the S20 SE to cultural sites and urban blocks with the S100.

The C10 Series is the geospatial branch of the same platform, in C10-16, C10-32 and C10-32 PRO configurations sharing the S100 dimensions, 1 TB SSD and a full constellation multi band RTK antenna with PPK post processing. SHARE3DCAM lists Gaussian Splatting and mesh models among the C10 deliverables, derived from the scanners' mapping imagery, and has not published C10 pricing.

SHARE PointClouds Studio is free for SHARE3DCAM owners, as is the SHARE Capture field app for Android and iOS. Version 2.6.0, published on 20 August 2026, added point cloud registration, coordinate transformation, PPK processing, panorama stitching for the four camera S100-32 PRO and C10-32 PRO, and C10 support, and extended Model Comparison to 3DGS models. The software needs an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or better with at least 12 GB of dedicated VRAM for 3DGS and 8 GB for point clouds, 64 GB of RAM and, preferably, 64 bit Windows 11. It exports LAS, PLY, E57 and PCD point clouds and DWG drawings, and SHARE3DCAM does not name a file format for its 3DGS output.

A cloud platform opened as a free closed beta on 17 September 2026 to existing scanner owners, covering cloud processing, online measurement and cropping, cross device viewing and link sharing, and its announcement does not mention 3DGS. SHARE PointClouds Studio is available from the SHARE3DCAM download center.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does SHARE PointClouds Studio create 3D Gaussian Splatting models?

SHARE PointClouds Studio, the Windows processing software for SHARE3DCAM scanners, reconstructs scan data as both point clouds and 3DGS scenes, and its Model Comparison tool compares 3DGS models as of version 2.6.0. SHARE3DCAM names LAS, PLY, E57 and PCD point cloud exports and DWG CAD output, and does not name a file format for 3DGS export.

What GPU does SHARE PointClouds Studio need for 3DGS?

SHARE PointClouds Studio recommends an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or better with at least 12 GB of dedicated VRAM for 3D Gaussian Splatting, against 8 GB for point cloud mapping. SHARE3DCAM also recommends 64 GB of RAM, 100 GB of free storage and 64 bit Windows 11, and notes issues with some Windows 10 versions.

How much does a SHARE3DCAM scanner cost?

SHARE3DCAM lists the SHARE SLAM S20 SE from $3,999, the SHARE SLAM S20 from $4,999 and the SHARE SLAM S100 Series from $9,500 on its own product pages. The C10 Series carries no published price, and the SHARE Capture app and SHARE PointClouds Studio software are free for SHARE3DCAM owners.

Which SHARE3DCAM scanners can be used for Gaussian Splatting?

SHARE3DCAM names the SHARE SLAM S20 SE, S20 and S100 for 3D Gaussian modeling, scaled from small exhibition halls and shops to cultural sites, commercial complexes and urban blocks. The SHARE3DCAM C10 Series also lists Gaussian Splatting and mesh models among its deliverables, derived from its one inch mechanical shutter mapping cameras.

Are SHARE3DCAM and SHARE UAV the same company?

SHARE3DCAM is the brand of SHARE3DCAM LIMITED, and its own company history runs through Jinan SHARE UAV Technology Co., Ltd., founded in August 2016, and Shenzhen SHARE Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd., established in December 2019. The shareuavtec.com domain SHARE3DCAM uses for email redirects to share3dcam.com.
