The Spark team has released version 0.1.10 (October 24, 2025), introducing new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes.
Key enhancements include support for the SOGSv2 compression format from PlayCanvas, enabling faster .spz file decompression through DecompressionStream, which improves loading performance. The viewer now defaults to WASD controls, and a new minPixelRadius property allows developers to discard smaller splats directly in the vertex shader.
This release also adds interactive examples, including holes and ripples effects, and introduces logarithmic depth buffer support for improved rendering precision in complex scenes.
Bug fixes address issues with splats not updating correctly, minor position errors in rendered frames, and improvements to shell script conformance. Documentation has also been expanded and refined.
Spark 0.1.10 continues to enhance performance and usability while broadening creative possibilities for developers working with Gaussian splatting. To see the full changelog, check out the Spark GitHub.
