A new startup out of Manchester is betting big on user-generated 3D. Voxelo.ai has just launched its public beta, offering online sellers a way to create photorealistic, interactive 3D product experiences, simply by uploading a short video.
Voxelo's aim is centered around a shared growing belief that the creation of lifelike 3D content has crossed a threshold that puts it in the hands of anyone with a camera. No lidar scans. Just a few minutes of video, even in non studio conditions.
The team is calling this category User Generated 3D, or UG3D. Voxelo’s founding team includes CEO Vladimir Mulhem (formerly of Creative Content Works), CMO Ben McKay (ex-WPP, Zwift, Audible, L’Oréal), and now CTO Roman Bromidge, who previously co-founded Kaedim, one of the early leaders in AI-generated 3D modeling. Roman brings with him experience working with LVMH, Rebellion Games, and Aardman, and says this new chapter builds directly on what he’s seen in the space.
The public beta offers users:
5 free HD 3D scans
Priority access to upcoming features
Direct support from the founding team
Flexible subscription options starting at £50/month
Voxelo is actively inviting sellers on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Adobe Commerce to try out the tool. The startup has deep roots in the Manchester tech scene and credits much of its momentum to the local ecosystem.
Beyond the beta, Voxelo is preparing a no code Shopify plugin for easy integration. The company is also exploring broader use cases for UG3D, such as catalog-level automation, social commerce, and AI-assisted editing, and plans to expand partnerships across new retail categories.
