360 Splat Pro

Ronski has released 360 Splat Pro v1.4.9, which measures the fisheye lens center from the footage and refines it during solving.

Earlier builds assumed a center, and any error in that assumption was absorbed by the solver into the estimated distortion model, so an alignment report could come back clean while the trained gaussian splat resolved soft.

Feature detection now runs at full source resolution across every fisheye workflow, where Ronski says some paths had been detecting at "as low as 42%". Multiple clips shot on one camera now share a single calibration, where earlier builds solved one per clip. Cubemap faces are sized automatically from the lens, replacing a fixed 2048.

360 Splat Pro's 360 plus perspective camera fusion arrived in v1.4.0 in June, and the interim v1.4.2 added further fusion workflows along with a Fusion Add mode that preserves prior alignment.

The sharp frames filter carries a data integrity fix. On dual fisheye footage the filter previously removed only one half of a pair, which broke masking and alignment, and the renumbering that followed removal could rename front frames as back frames on 360 footage. Ronski states that affected dual lens projects need re-extracting.

v1.4.9 adds a DSLR fisheye workflow with a self fitting circle mask and typed center offset controls. Heatmaps are now shown for every camera in a multicam batch, a workflow 360 Splat Pro added in 1.3.0, and batch runs no longer halt on a confirmation dialog.

Mixed portrait and landscape footage is rotated on import, accented and non-English folder names no longer fail. The alignment report no longer records masks as unused when they were applied, and dropping an image folder no longer caps at 100 images.

The tool bundles SphereSfM and COLMAP for alignment, SAM3 text prompt masking, and a Python runtime, and requires one separate free FFmpeg install. Exports target Postshot, Brush, LichtFeld Studio, nerfstudio, and gsplat, with RealityScan reachable through the external workflow builder, which needs separate software.

360 Splat Pro is Windows only and carries a lifetime license covering v1.x updates through 2026. It is available now on Gumroad for $44.99.
