It’s only been a few weeks since we covered the launch of ANNX Studio, and the team at EMX is already back with their first update. Version 1.0.1 is out now, and while it doesn’t overhaul the core pipeline, it introduces some improvements for usability.
ANNX Studio is an easy to install gaussian splatting platform for both Mac and Windows, built on top of Brush. For Mac Users, they will need macOS 15.1 or later, in addition to at least an M1 chip.
Perhaps the most exciting update is that users who update now get free access to the Pro Plan until August 31, unlocking features like .ply
export and faster training.
For users who already have their own SfM data, you can now add it directly from the Custom data type, bypassing the traditional COLMAP run. Quick, Normal, and Detail modes will still start from scratch, as expected. There had also been a small bug, where if you had created a project name containing a space, such as "Car Show", it would break the training loop. This has now been fixed.
It’s great to see the team shipping quickly and listening closely to user feedback. ANNX Studio is already one of the most accessible and streamlined ways to train Gaussian Splatting captures on Mac
The free Pro Plan access runs until August 31, so check it out!
